4. This is a compact disc re-release of an album released in the late s, an album I bought then,. I have always loved Jamal's music, and I was excited to see this early album finally re-released. It suffers a bit from having been recorded live with less than great equipment, but it is worth buying for those who love Ahmad Jamal's earlier music/5(14).

9. A sweet swinger from Ahmad – a record that has his usual trio (Jamil Nasser bass, Frank Gant drums) augmented by the super-hip Howard Roberts Chorale on a number of tracks. Roberts' "jazz with voices" style isn't as out there as some of the work of Coleridge Perkinson, but he does a plenty nice job here – adding in some light and lyrical voices that dream along with Jamal 's piano nicely.
